Snapshots
These “Snapshots”, contributed by Lam Ka-tat and Yuki Lam Tsz-ching, reflect perceptions of how the “Education-plus” vision has helped to enrich some of our students’ learning experiences.

LEAD Programme: IndiaStudents in India must line up strictly and sing national anthem every morning. We stood behind this group.
At 6 am in the morning, we went to a farm and helped the farmer pick flowers. That is usually the first step in farm work every day.
We wore traditional Indian clothes for this photo, taken at the temple.
Educational drawing we designed on the wall.
Being local and eating with our hands.
We gained much cultural exposure by visiting a woodcraft factory, a tea factory and Gregory Lake. Tea and woodcraft are the most famous things in Sri Lanka and I am glad that I had a chance to visit the factories.

LEAD Programme: Sri LankaTeaching at pre-school was one of our services, but as the children were young and the local teacher only knew a little English, we initially found it difficult to communicate. We changed our teaching method to make it more playful, and in the second week everyone enjoyed the lessons very much.
Apart from services and cultural visits, we very much enjoyed staying with our host mum. She taught us how to cook Sri Lankan breakfast, and we cooked Chinese dishes for her. Though we only visited for two weeks, we cried when we had to leave. The relationship was like how a mother treats her kids.
This photo captures such a memorable and precious memory. We lived together, worked together and took on challenges together. We were as one!
